Beautification
We are a group of 18th Ward business leaders and neighbors working together to improve our part of the world. The Reading area's 18th Ward has a plan to unveil and design safety and beautification projects. The goal of these beautification efforts is not just to bring in the town, but to bring in the whole Berks county and even the state of Pennsylvania.
Street Sweeping Initiative
A street sweeping pilot program will allow for monitoring, collective resident input, and making appropriate adjustments to create a harmonious process.
The 18th Ward will serve as the pilot area, this includes the neighborhoods of Millmont, Oakbrook, and Wyomissing Park. The total sweeping area is 32.2 miles.
The Green Team
"The Green Team is a promising model for youth involvement creating a healthy community. The Green Team fosters pride in the Community for the students involved, and provides hands on training and education regarding recycling and waste."
