18th Wonder Improvement Association
A Letter from the President

Thank you for your interest in the 18th Wonder Improvement Association. It is my honor to be serving as President of such an impressive organization. As part of the City of Reading, we recognized what an enormous task it is to keep up with every inch of the City with over 90,000 people. In an effort to assist the City with touching the 18th Ward, a Public/Private Partnership was formed. The group began with the efforts of John Masano who wanted desperately to run his business located in the 18th Ward, in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

A group was formed and with a great deal of hard work and dedication, the 18th Wonder Improvement Association was born. I am extremely proud to say that we have the expertise of very talented members. Some of the talent on our Board includes engineers, attorneys, accountants, and local business people. This is a volunteer board that gives a great deal of their time to help with projects in the 18th Ward. Take some time to peruse our website. We work closely with the community and create an environment where our residents take pride in their neighborhoods. Our Community Gardens help our residents grow their own food. Our community meetings keep the residents informed and most importantly give them time and space to be heard. We listen to the concerns of our neighbors and work together to come up with solutions. We also take time to socialize with various events for the community throughout the year. We are happy to share this model with other communities as well.

Please reach out to us for any additional information or to become involved.
Sincerely,
Dave Talarico, President
