Tony Balistrere

Board Member

Tony Balistrere is currently the Director of Development for Reading Hospital Foundation where he helps support Innovation, Education, and Research at the Reading Hospital to advance health and transform lives in the Greater Reading Berks Region. Prior to his role at the hospital Tony spent 20 years in education as Deputy Superintendent of the Diocese of Allentown Catholic Schools, Principal of Berks Catholic High School, and Director of Development Holy Name High School. Tony started his career teaching middle school science for Waynesboro Area Middle School in 1995. Followed by a two year stint with Aventis Pharmaceuticals before getting back in education at Holy Name High School in 2002. In addition to his board roll with the 18th Ward, he is a board member of Immaculate Conception Academy in Birdsboro, a board member at Reading Berks Basketball Association and a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church. Tony enjoys his family with wife Nina and two daughters Natalie and Nicole and likes to fish, golf, and garden.
